Elkhorn-- Mrs. Alice Wales Dunlap, 78, died unexpectedly at 8 p. m. Friday in the home of her daughter, Mrs. Ellen Morris, here. She had been in poor health for some time, but complained of no illness during the day.
Mrs. Dunlap was born Dec. 3, 1853 in Plymouth, N. Y., and came to Wisconsin with her parents, Fred and Laura Wales, in 1864. They settled in North Geneva, where she was educated in public schoolws, later attending a seminary in Lake Geneva. On May 5, 1885, she married G. B. Dunlap.
Mr. and Mrs. Dunlap lived for a time in Fond du Lac, returning here in May, 1920, when they purchased a home on Rockwell street and lived there until five years ago. Since then they have made their home with their daughter. Mrs. Dunlap is survived by her husband and daughter, Mrs. Morris. A son died in 1901.
Funeral services probably will be held Sunday, with burial in Waukesha.
