Mary Marie (Tootie) Holder, age 69, of Kingston, fell lovingly in to the arms of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Monday, July 25, 2011 with her loving family by her side. Born on Feb. 16, 1942, she would marry at age 15 her husband, Abraham Lincoln Holder. She leaves a legacy of kindness, compassion and understanding. She was a proud mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was raised and a member of Foursquare Gospel Church in Kingston, and later in life, the First Assembly of God in Harriman. Her love for her family came second only to her faith and love for God. Hers was a life of obstacles that became a testament of pure will, sheer determination and plain old stubbornness. Her love, life and laughter will be sorely missed but forever remembered. Awaiting her in her Heavenly Home were her family members who preceded her in death. Her children, Ricky Lee Holder and Christina Estella Holder; parents Sam and Pearl Brackett Walden; father and mother in law John and Dove Holder; grandson Michael Holder, Jr.; brothers and sisters in law Edgar Walden; Bobby and Gayle Walden; Walter (Bud) Walden; Margaret and Jack Christopher; Christine Holder; David Holder; Julie and Roy Morgan; Earl Holder; Kenneth Holder and Ted Holder; nieces and nephews Leland Walden; Allen Holder; Deborah Holder Pryor; Cathy Holder Smick and Shirley Holder. Family pets were Twensie and Gypsy Holder.

Left to cherish her memories is husband of 54 years Abe Holder; sons and daughter in law Michael Holder; Allen (Jim) and Tammy Holder; daughter and son in law Kathryn Ann (Lee) and Gregory Selvidge; grandchildren and spouses Jeannie and Matt West; Sheena and Clay Ladd; Ryan and DeeDee Selvidge; Josh and Savannah Selvidge; Christopher and Bailey Holder; Nicole Holder; Thomas Holder and Rusty Colyer; great grandchildren are Kayla West; Carson Ladd; Isiah and Isabella Selvidge; Lance and New Baby Holder; step grandchildren are Leslie Cooper; Kim Goins and Amber Reese; step great grandchildren Jordan; Alexis; Carissa; Makayla; Mackenzie; JJ; Airiana; Tristen; Braydon and Brailyn. Tootie is survived by brothers and sister in law George (Dick) and Betty Walden; Larry Walden; sister and brother in law Joann and Larry Johnson; sisters in law Vivian Stout; Margaret Ann Holder and Helen Walden; brothers in law and sister in law George Holder; John and Ivy Holder and special family member Monica G. Holder. Tootie had a special love for all her nieces and nephews, many of whom she helped raise.

Funeral 8pm Friday July 29, 2011 in the Kyker Chapel with her nephew Teddy (Tres) Raby and Rev. Nolan Moore officiating. Burial 1pm Saturday at the Kingston Memorial Gardens.
