MRS. DORA GREEN DIES AT HOME NEAR OSAGE
Mrs. Dora Green Passed away at her home near Osage on Monday, September 5, as a result of cancer, following an illness of about six months.
Miss Dora Isabel Wakefield was born August 4, 1869 in Dixon, Illinois. On November 24, 1892 she was united in marriage to William T. Green at Wilcey, Kansas. To this union four children were born, two of whom preceded both parents in death. Mr. Green passed away July 20, 1923.
Members of the immediate family that remain a son Horace at home and a daughter Susie, at home. She also leaves to mourn, four brothers, O. R. Wakefield of California, William and Frank of Kansas and Richard Wakefield of Chicago, IL, and one sister Mrs. Walter Montgomery, of Wyoming.
Deceased was a member of the Presbyterian church for many years and since coming to this vicinity has supported and attended the Methodist Episcopal church. The funeral was held yesterday from the First Methodist Episcopal church, Rev. H. W. Bell of Long Prairie, formerly of this city, preaching the sermon.
Interment was made at Greenwood cemetery.
