The former Esther Wagner was born October 29, 1923 in Jericho a daughter of the late Charles & Louise (Olbrich) Wagner. She attended Holy Trinity Catholic Grade School in Jericho.
On October 16, 1945 she married Elmer Nett in Jericho.
She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Marytown and an honorable member of the Altar & Rosary Society. Esther enjoyed cooking, baking and playing cards with her grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband, Elmer of Marytown; 2 sons, Gerald Nett of Stockbridge and Kenneth (Janice) Nett of Charlesburg; a daughter, Karen (Chuck) Nett of St. Peter; 12 grandchildren, Micheal (Misty) Nett of Louisiana, Daniel Nett of Redgranite, Nicole (Dion) Spranger of Appleton, Jeremy Nett of Appleton, Christa Nett of Stockbridge, Brian Nett of Marytown, Kevin (Rhonda) Nett of Plymouth, Brad Nett of Marytown, Jason Nett of Iraq, Tim Nett of St. Peter, Tina Nett of Fond du Lac & Angie Nett of Fond du Lac; 13 great-grandchildren, Jordan & Hunter Nett, Hailey, Brittany, Ryan & Cassidy Nett, Micheal Habberman, Heather Nett, Brook See, Brandon Schmitz, Hailey Nett, Tanner Nett and Taylor Nett; 2 sisters, Odelia Ramminger & Delphine Konen of New Holstein and a brother-in-law, Bill (Anna Mae) Nett of Fond du Lac.
She was preceded in death by her parents, 4 brothers, Bill, Ambrose, Reno & Martin Wagner; a sister, Lorraine Nadler; her daughter-in-law, Joy (Schneider) Nett and a great-grandson, Alex Nett.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 5:30 PM on Wednesday May 2, 2007 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Marytown. Rev. Joseph Coerber, Pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
Friends may call at the church on Wednesday from 2:00 PM until the time of service. The Sippel Funeral Home in New Holstein (920) 898-4300 is assisting the family.
