Lehman, 87, of 2073 Scotland Ave., and formerly of 154 Hamilton Road, died at 9:45 p.m. Thursday, May 30, 2002, in Chambersburg Hospital. Born April 12, 1915, near Shippensburg, she was a daughter of the late William P. and Annie Shriner Wadel. A member of Chambersburg Mennonite Church, she was active in its sewing circle. She had been a seasonal employee at Knouse Foods and the former H.J. Heinz Co., both in Chambersburg, as well as the former Hoover Turkey Farm, Fayetteville. For many years she volunteered with the Bible Released Time Program in the Chambersburg area. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting and working in her garden. She married Fred A. Lehman on June 12, 1943. In addition to her husband, surviving are a daughter, Lucille A. (Mrs. Gerald) Sauder of Lititz; a son, Eugene R. (husband of Julie) Lehman of Chambersburg; three grandsons, Garrick Sauder of York, Brad Sauder of Pittsburgh and Brenten Lehman of Shippensburg; a granddaughter, Christy Lehman of Chambersburg; three great-granddaughters, Scarlett Lehman and Jazmin Lehman, both of Shippensburg, and Bryn Sauder of York; two sisters, Julia Wadel and Anna Mary (Mrs. Elmer) Weaver, both of Shippensburg; two brothers, Ira (husband of Esther) Wadel and John (husband of Edna) Wadel, both of Shippensburg; nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a son, Carlton Lehman, who died June 13, 1974; four brothers; and two sisters. Burial will be Monday in Chambersburg Mennonite Church Cemetery.
