Edwin K. Wiesman, 67 of 2738 34th St., Two Rivers, died unexpectedly Thursday
at home. Funeral services will be at 2 pm Saturday at First German Evangelical
Lutheran Church, Manitowoc. The Rev. Norval W. Kock will officiate and burial
will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mr. Wiesman was born Apr. 15, 1906 at Manitowoc, son of the late Robert and Mina
Raddatz Wiesman. He attended Manitowoc schools. He was married to Ann F. Foley
Aug. 30, 1954 at Manitowoc. He was a machinist took and die maker at Manitowoc
Shipbuilding Inc., and for more than 20 years a marine engineer for Standard Oil
and Cleveland oil tankers. He was a member of First German Evangelical Lutheran
Church and Shoto Conservation Club.
Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Mrs. Nels (Bonnie) Thompson of Owatonna,
Minn., a step-son, John DeLorme of Cedarburg; two step-daughters, Mrs. Myron
(Gertrude) Backhaus of West Bend and Mrs. K. Kenneth (Patricia) Doughman of
Cedarburg; two sisters, Mrs. Earl (Martha) Walter and Mrs. Walter (Gertrude)
Johnson of Manitowoc; three grandchildren and nine step grandchildren. A brother
and three sisters preceded him in death.
Friends may call at Urbanek and Schlei Funeral Home, Manitowoc, from 4 to 9 pm
Friday and at the church Saturday from 1 pm until the time of service.
