William A. Wieland, 65, of 1113A S. 26th St., Manitowoc, died at 7:45 p.m.
Thursday at Holy Family Hospital, Manitowoc, where he had been a patient
five weeks.
Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday at Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc.
The Rev. Paul H. Blaufus will officiate and burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.
Mr. Wieland was born Nov. 11, 1898, at Milwaukee, son of the late William and
Augusta Zastrow Wieland. He married Mildred Wendel May 5, 1928, at Milwaukee and
the couple resided at Milwaukee until two years ago, coming to Manitowoc. Before
retiring three years ago he had been employed as traffic manager for Courteen
Seed Co., Milwaukee. Prior to that he had been traffic manager for Grand Trunk
Railway Co.
A veteran of World War I, he was a fireman third class with the U.S. Navy. Mr.
Wieland was a member of Milwaukee Traffic Club.
Surviving are his wife, a son, Harlan, and a brother, Delbert, of Milwaukee,
three sisters, Mrs. Meta Volbrecht, of Milwaukee and Mrs. Emma Russel and Mr.
Gussie Goltra, of California and five grandchildren.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 3 p.m. Sunday.
