VERNETTE V. WICKE

Vernette V. Wicke, age 81, of 1315 Division St., Manitowoc, died Sunday morning,
November 2, 1997, at Holy Family Memorial Medical Center, Manitowoc.
Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, November 5, 1997, at Immanuel
Ev. Lutheran Church, Manitowoc. Officiating at the service will be Rev. Dennis
Broehm with burial to follow at Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
She was born June 5, 1916, in Lark, Wis., daughter of the late George and Lydia
Fels Nohr. In September of 1937, she married Lester Wicke, at Lark, Wis. He
preceded her in death on January 12, 1957. Vernette was employed at Memorial
Hospital in Manitowoc for over 30 years. She was a member of the Ladies Aid of
Immanuel Ev. Lutheran Church.
Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Melvin and Shirley Wicke, Oak
Creek, Wis., Paul and Dawn Wicke, Kingman, Ariz.; one daughter, LuAnn Wicke,
Manitowoc; a special friends Don Lettenberger, Manitowoc; ten grandchildren,
David and Mark Wicke, Steve, James (Bonnie) and John (Stephanie) Zwicke(sic),
Perry, Jeremy, Michael and Melanie Wicke, Scott (Connie) Hungerford; nine great-
grandchildren, Amber Wicke, Justin Wicke, Christa, Elizabeth and Abigail Zwicke(sic),
Veronica Zwicke(sic), Holly, Heidi and Sawyer Hungerford; two sisters-in-law, Clara
Nohr, Brillion, Grace (Ralph) Bernhardt, Manitowoc; one brother-in-law, Louis
(Lucille) Wicke, Suring, Wis. Also surviving are nieces, nephews, other relatives
and friends. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Willard and Alvin Nohr;
one sister, Rosetta Nohr.
Friends may call at Pfeffer Funeral Home from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday and on Wednesday
morning at Immanuel Ev. Lutheran Church from 10 a.m. until the time of service at
11 a.m.

A very loving and giving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, friend and neighbor."
You left this world peacefully as you had lived and always in harmony with God.
