LuAnn L. Wicke, age 67, a Manitowoc resident, currently residing at the Manitowoc Health and Rehabilitation Center, died peacefully with her son by her side, on Wednesday morning, December 21, 2011.

She was born on March 1, 1944, in Manitowoc, WI, daughter of the late Lester and Vernette (Nohr) Wicke. LuAnn graduated from Manitowoc Lutheran High School. She was employed at various nursing facilities in the area as a CNA for many years. She was also privately employed as an in home care-giver until the time of her illness.

Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law: Scott and Connie Hungerford, Manitowoc; three grandchildren; Holly, Heidi and Sawyer Hungerford; two brothers and two sisters-in-law: Melvin and Shirley Wicke, Oak Creek, WI, Paul and Dawn Wicke, Portland, OR, and a special friend: Gary Stelzer, Manitowoc. Nieces, nephews, cousins and friends also survive.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM on Wednesday, December 28, 2011 at First Lutheran Church, Manitowoc. Officiating at the service will be the Rev. Roald Harswick. Cremation has taken place at All-Care Cremation Center, Manitowoc, and LuAnn will be laid to rest at Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc, following services.

The family will greet relatives and friends from 9:00 AM until 10:15 AM on Wednesday, December 28, 2011 in the chapel at First Lutheran Church, Manitowoc.

The Pfeffer Funeral Home and All-Care Cremation Center, Manitowoc is assisting the family with funeral arrangements.

LuAnn's family would like to thank the caring and compassionate staff at the Manitowoc Health and Rehabilitation Center and the nurses of the 5th floor at Holy Family Memorial. Sincere and heartfelt gratitude is given to Gary Stelzer for his companionship, love and care for LuAnn these past few years.
