Harriet Julia was the fifth of six children {four daughters & two sons} born to George & Pauline (Salmon) Asimont.

In 1911, Harriet married Glen Winfield Wheelock at Green Bay, WI; he was age 25, she was 21. Born 15 April 1886 in Suamico, WI; Glen was the fourth of eight children {six sons & two daughters} born to James & Mary Ellen Wheelock.

"Harriet Julia Wheelock, 97, a resident of North Ridge Care Center, Manitowoc, died Sunday morning, January 31, 1988 at the Center.

"Mrs. Wheelock was born December 20, 1890 at Green Bay, Wisconsin, daughter of the late George and Pauline Salmon Asimont. She married Glen W. Wheelock on December 24, 1911 at Green Bay. He preceded her in death July 5, 1945.

"Survivors include five sons and daughters-in-law, Gordon & Zita Wheelock of Chicago, Illinois, Russell & Janice Wheelock of Pensacola, Florida, Glen Jr. & Tralute Wheelock of Tamarac, Florida, Vanage & Satsuko Wheelock of Lakeland, Florida and Paul & Marie Wheelock of Manitowoc; three daughters and a son-in-law, Dorothy Jajewski of Oshkosh, June & Warren Couvillion of Gretna, Louisiana and Lucille Roehl of Gretna, Louisiana; 17 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren also survive. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Phyllis and a sister, Lillian Taylor."
