AGED RESIDENT OF CITY DIES
George Wetenkamp Succumbs Early This Morning
George Wetenkamp, 67, a resident of the city for 15 years and lifelong resident
of the county, died early today. He resided at 852 North 14th street.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 2 p.m. from the Wattawa, Urbanek and
Schlei funeral home. Interment will be at Evergreen cemetery.
The deceased was born at Manitowoc Rapids at 1868 and spent a good share of his
life there. He followed farming. He was married 37 years ago to Minnie Vallheim.
Fifteen years ago they moved to Manitowoc and Mr. Wetenkamp was employed by the
city in recent years.
Widow Survives
Survivors are the widow; four daughters, Mrs. Arthur Hoefner and Mrs. Edward
Brunner, Montana, Mrs. Arthur Daugs and Elsie, city; four sons, George Jr.,
William, Arthur and Elmer, all of this city; three brothers, Frank, Rapids,
James and Jessie, city; a sister, Mrs. Arthur Dow, city; and 24 grandchildren.
The body may be viewed at the Wattawa, Urbanek and Schlei funeral home from
Wednesday noon until the hour of the funeral.
