Lloyd Sherrill West, age 68, of Route 5 Box 69 (Airport Road), Bluefield, W.Va., passed away on Saturday, July 16, 2011 at St. Mary's Hospital in Huntington. Born on April 9, 1943 in Warriormine, he was a son of the late Lloyd and Billie Wallace West. He had been a resident of Bluefield for 40 years and was a member of the Bluefield Virginia Church of God. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and worked in the guided missile program. He was the owner and operator of Technical Services Associates.

Survivors include one sister, Karen Eggleston and brother-in-law Steve of Huntington; niece, Andrea Megan Fry and Mike of Huntington; 2-year-old great-niece, Felicity Fry.

Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, July 20, 2011 at 3:00 p.m. at the Bluefield Virginia Church of God with the Reverend Tony Ellis officiating. Burial will follow at Grandview Memory Gardens in Bluefield, Va. where family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Military honors will be performed by the WV Honor Guard. Friends may call at the Bluefield Virginia Church of God on Wednesday prior to services from 1:00-3:00 p.m. at the Bluefield Virginia Church of God.
