Mrs. Edward Wakley, 75, of 914 Green St., Manitowoc died Wednesday at St. Mary
Hospital Burn Center, Milwaukee.
Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at First German Evangelical
Lutheran Church, Manitowoc. The Rev. Norval W. Kock will officiate with burial
in Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mrs. Wakley, nee Leona Bull, was born April 20, 1901, at Manitowoc, daughter of
the late John and Emma Mueller Bull. She attended schools in the Manitowoc area
and was married to Edward Wakley Sept. 15, 1925, at Manitowoc, where they resided.
Mr. and Mrs. Wakley worked part time at A.M. Richter Sons Co. in the bottling
and packaging department from 1954 to 1964. She was a member of First German
Evangelical Lutheran Church.
Survivors include her husband, a son, Delmar, of Milwaukee; three daughters, Mrs.
Donald (Barbara) Rathsack, of Manitowoc, Mrs. Raymond (Lois) Polifka, of Illinois
and Mrs. Ronald (Janice) Champagne, of Two Rivers; a brother, John Bull, of
Manitowoc; 18 grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Three sisters preceded
her in death.
Friends may call at Jens Funeral Home, Manitowoc, from 5 to 9 p.m. Friday until
11 a.m. Saturday and at the church from noon until the time of service. The casket
will remain closed. Memorials may be made to First German Evangelical Lutheran
building fund.
