Mrs. VonAllmen died at 11 a.m., Tuesday, July 27, 2010, at West Plains. She was born Dec. 1, 1936, in Howell County, MO, to John and Clara Turner McCracken. On Oct. 15, 1952, she was married at Salem, AR, to Wayne VonAllmen. Mrs. VonAllmen was a baby sitter for many years and was known as Grandma Betty to many children. She was a member of the Faith Assembly of God Church where she was the nursery attendant.
She is survived by her husband, Wayne VonAllmen, of the family home; four children, Pamela Sue Jones, husband, Mark, of Tipton, OK, Ronald Carl VonAllmen, wife, Leslie, of Springfield, MO, Terri Eleine VonAllmen and Douglas Paul VonAllmen, both of West Plains; 11 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; four brothers, Ted McCracken, wife, Lori, of Dyer, IN, Don McCracken, wife, Shirley, Mike McCracken and Dean McCracken, wife, Vicki, all of West Plains; one sister, Linda Alsup, husband, Dean, state of Tennessee; and many nieces and nephews.
Her parents; two sons, Michael Wayne and Kenneth Lee; and one daughter, Brandy Lynn, precede her in death.
Burial was at Oak Lawn Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer's Association and left at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.
