| Birth: | Feb. 29, 1932 Kenosha Kenosha County Wisconsin, USA | | Death: | Jul. 29, 2011 South Kenosha Kenosha County Wisconsin, USA |  Lois E. Von Neumann passed away at 79 on Friday, July 29, 2011 at St. Joseph's Home for the Aged in South Kenosha.
Lois was born to Lester and Doris (Whitbeck) Thompson, and married Alexander Von Neumann in Kenosha on March 22, 1952.
Lois loved racing stock cars and go-karts and raced at places such as Soldier Field in Chicago, Kokomo Speedway in Indiana and at the opening day at Waukegan Raceway. She loved to travel all over the United States and loved the times she spent with her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother and sister-in-law Bill (Shirley) Thompson, and her sister-in-law Vicki Grom.
Lois is survived by her husband, Alexander of Kenosha; her daughter Lynn (Robert) Marifke of Burlington; her son Alex (Susan) Von Neumann of Pleasant Prairie; a grandson, Karl Von Neumann; a brother, Bruce (Joyce) Ireland; and her first cousin, Diana Slipecka.
Funeral services for Lois were held at 1:00 P.M. on Tuesday, August 2, 2011 at the Hansen-Lendman Funeral Home. Private interment was held at a later date. A visitation was held from 11:00 A.M. until the time of service. Memorials to the Hospice Alliance and Hospice Advantage in Lois' name would be greatly appreciated.
