A graveside funeral service will be held in the West Side District Cemetery for Beverly O. Haney, 83. Mrs. Haney was born in Moline, Illinois on May 12, 1929 and passed away in Bakersfield on May 7, 2013. She worked as a executive secretary in the petroleum industry for many years. She enjoyed bowling and loved to watch her favorite sports teams, the Lakers, Dodgers, and Cubs. Mrs. Haney was preceded in death by her husband, Les Haney; her two brothers, Bryan and Loyal Voigt; and by her parents, Fuzzy and Peggy Voigt. Her survivors include her three sons and their wives, her grandchildren, her five great-grandchildren, her special loved ones, her sisters-in-law, and numerous other family members. There are no visitation hours scheduled and the arrangements are under the direction of the Erickson & Brown Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers please make donations to Hoffmann Hospice.

We stand upon the shore and watch as you depart, a tiny white sail on the horizon and then to our eyes you are gone. Yet, on a distant shore there are others awaiting you with a joyous cry. "Here she comes."
