Arthur Eugene Viste was born Feb. 9, 1898, in Lanesboro, Minn., the son of Ole N. Viste and Caroline Hauskey Viste.
He resided at Lanesboro, Minn., Turtle Lake, N. D., and Adams, Minn. before moving to Austin, Minn. about 1930. His marriage to Edith Louise Marie Kehret took place Oct. 24, 1933, in Austin.
Mr. Viste was a member of St. Olaf Lutheran church and Sons of Norway. He was a retired employee of St. Olaf Hospital, Austin, and earlier was engaged in farm-related activities in the Adams area.
Mr. Viste died March 28, 1987, in Austin.
Surviving are two sons, Arlen Viste, Sioux Falls, S. D.; Norman Viste, San Diego, Calif.; daughters-in-law, Elizabeth Viste, Sioux Falls; Jean Viste, San Diego; four granddaughters; two grandsons; one great-grandson; brothers, William of Indianapolis, Ind.; Irvin of Sauk Rapids, Minn.; sisters, Ruth Viste, St. Louis, Mo.; Mabel Larson, Adams; Myrtle Viste, Austin.
He was preceded in death by his father, mother, wife, brothers, Helmer and Clarence.
