Roy Villareal Jr. entered into the Kingdom of Heaven on Saturday, May 7, 2016. Roy was born on August 12, 1958 to Roy Villareal Sr. and Beatrice Caravajal in Houston, TX. He was preceded into his eternal home by his Mother Beatrice and Father Roy Villareal, Sr., and also by Step-Brother, Rudy Rosas, Sr.
He is survived by his two daughters, Tina Simpson and Michele Rodriguez, by his brother, Johnny Bustilloz, by his sister, Dahlia Nicholos, step-mother Amada Villareal; by his step-sisters, Ashley Villarial, Ana Rosas Marisa Ramirez, and by step-brothers, Ralph Rosas, Pete Rosas, and by his grandson, Logan Rodriguez.
Roy attended and graduated from South Houston High School in 1977. He then worked for Guantts Auto Transmission and US Gypsum as a diesel mechanic.
He was a long time member at Monument Baptist Church in Deer Park, TX. (formally known as Thomas Avenue Baptist Church in Pasadena, TX) and served in the video ministry for elderly members who could not attend the services. His final church home was Richey Street Baptist Church in Pasadena, TX where he served as the Sound, Lighting, and Video Director.
Roy’s hobbies included providing music for friends and family functions, videoing events, carpentry work, and auto mechanics. He was also a member of the Citizens Police Academy and enjoyed his opportunities to go on many ride-along shifts with the Pasadena Police Department. Roy was a dedicated Dad to his two daughters and supported them in various extracurricular activities. His best support was as band parent for the Pasadena High School Band.
The viewing will be held Friday May 13th, 2016 at Rosewood Funeral Home in Pasadena, TX from 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm.
The funeral service will be held at Richey Street Baptist Church Saturday May 14, 2016 at 10:00 am.
He will be greatly missed by those whose lives he greatly impacted.
