Freda Sue Viers Clifton,55,passed away Tuesday Jan 27 2004 at Grace Health Care in Abingdon Virginia folloing an extended illness.
She was born in McDowell County West Virginia and was a daughter of the late Walter and Mae Hackney Viers.
She was a member of the Holiness Church and was a former employee of the Buchanan County School System for twenty-two hears as a cook and custodian.
She was preceded in death by two brothers--Darrell Viers and Thomas Viers.
She is survived by her ex-husband--Andrew Alfred Clifton.
Three daughters--Melissa Mae Clifton Anderson and husband Kenneth Ray Anderson,Sr. of Haysi Virginia--Keppei Robin Clifton Meadows and husband Gregory George Meadows of Winchester Virginia and Dana Denise Clifton Grey and husband David Joseph Gray of Winchester Virginia.
Four sisters--Juanita Viers White of Owosso Michigan--Anna Lou Viers Browning of Pineville West Virginia--Ella Mae Viers Proffitt of Welch West Virginia and Loretta Viers Hurley of Grundy Virginia.
Two brothers--Walter Junior Viers of Grundy Virginia and Billy Ray Viers of Bradshaw West Virginia.
Four grandchildren--Tiffany Nicole Anderson--Kenneth Ray Anderson,Jr.--Emily Brooke Meadows and Hannah Meadows.
Funeral services for Freda Sue Viers Clifton will be conducted Friday Jan 30 2004 at one at Dismal Holiness Church with Evangelist Mike Rife and Rev. J. D. Keen officiating.
Friends may call at the Dismal Holiness Church Wednesday afternoon at five with services Wednesday and Thursday evenings at seven.
Active pallbearers will be family and friends.
