Almeda Vickers was born in November 1842 in Indiana, one of the ten children of Mary Beasley and William Vickers. Her siblings included: James H., John G., Joseph, Thomas, Embree, Francis Marion, Hardy, Isabella, and Cordelia. In 1850, she was living in Columbia, Gibson County, Indiana with her parents and siblings. On May 6, 1858, she married James Trimble and six years later, had a son, Joseph Trimble. By 1870, her father had died and she and her son Joseph were living with her mother in Columbia. Her siblins Hardy, Isabella, and Cordelia were also in the household. In 1873, she married Andrew Jackson "Jack" Ingle, a farmer, born October 1848 in North Carolina. In 1880, Almeda and Jack were farming in Prairie, Marion County, Arkansas. In their household was Almeda's son Joseph, age 15, and her children with Jack: Charlie, age 6; Nora, age 11; and Melinda, born in April 1880. Alameda and Jack were listed in the 1900 Federal Census for Lexington, Oklahoma (Cleveland County) with two of their children, both born in Arkansas: Charles E., age 25; and a daughter, P.M., age 20. By 1910, four of Almeda's six children are still living but are all out of the household. She and Jack were farming in Alex, Grady County, Oklahoma. In 1920, they were farming in Lexington, Cleveland County, Oklahoma. In the 1920 census, Jack's place of birth is reported as Kentucky.
