Mrs. Muriel Vickers Smith, 82, passed away in Shreveport, La on June 30, 2007 following a brief illness. Visitation will be held at Osborn Funeral Home on Wednesday, July 4 from 4 until 7 PM. Funeral service will begin at 10 AM, Thursday, July 5, 2007, at the chapel of the Osborn Funeral Home with Dr. Donald A. Webb officiating. Entombment will follow in Forest Park Cemetery.

Mrs. Smith was a native of Norwood, Louisiana and a resident of Shreveport for many years. She was a member of the Ellerbe Road United Methodist Church and was a loving, caring wife, mother and a friend to many and will be sorely missed. Mrs. Smith was preceded in death by her husband, James H. Smith and daughter, Elaine Smith Wood. She is survived by her son, Larry M. Smith and his wife, Linda Mead Smith of Prescott, Arizona. The family requests that memorials be made to the Grace Home. Mrs. Smith's family would like to express their sincere appreciation to Dr. Wendell Wall, Dr. Richard Haynie and the caring staff on the fourth floor of Schumpert Hospital.
