SHREVEPORT – Services for Mrs. Hazel Vickers Jolley, 79, of Shreveport will be held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 29, at Rose-Neath's Marshall Street Chapel with the Rev. Charles A. Barnett, pastor of First Baptist Church of Castor, La., officiating. Burial will be at Forest Park Cemetery.
Mrs. Jolley died Friday Nov. 28, 1986, at 4:30 a.m. at P & S Hospital following a lengthy illness. Shaw was a native of Isla, Texas, and had resided in Shreveport for the past 50 years. She was a saleslady, and was last employed by M. Levy Co. for 21 years. She was a former member of Broadmoor Baptist Church and a current member of Highland Baptist Church. She was a member of the Daughters of the Republic of Texas and a former member of the ABWA Or Noir Chapter.
She was preceded in death by her husband of more than 50 years, Mr. James A. Jolley Sr.; one son, Ensign Edwin S. Jolley and one grandson, Jeffery Edwin Jolley.
She is survived by two sons, Mr. Charles G. Jolley of Shreveport, Mr. J. A. Jolley Jr. of Mountain View, Ark.; one daughter, Mrs. Estelle R. Sherrod of Kenner, La.; one step-son, Mr. James H. Jolley of Shreveport; one step-daughter, Mrs. Eldon Jones of Oklahoma City, Okla.; eight grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and many other relatives.
Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.
