Beth was born January 28, 1925 in Deepstep, Georgia. She attended the University of Georgia and Barrett School of Nursing, earning her degree as a Registered Nurse. She practiced her nursing at the Old University Hospital.
She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend to many.
She grew up Baptist, was married at First Baptist Church Downtown, but became a faithful member of Aldersgate United Methodist Church when she married Joe, the son of a Methodist minister. At Aldersgate she served on the Alter Guild and enjoyed arranging flowers, especially for Thanksgiving.
After Joe's retirement and illness, she felt a calling to return to First Baptist Church. She loved attending Anna Bannister's Sunday School Class and Church.
She was a member of Augusta Country Club, Pinnacle Club, Camellia Garden Club, and Augusta Symphony Guild. She was a University Hospital Volunteer and supporter of the Morris Museum.
Beth's love of the yard and garden were evident in her years of growing roses and sharing their beauty with others. She enjoyed her friends so much whether in bible study, sewing club, tennis or bridge.
The family wishes to express their deepest gratitude to Drs. Paul Cundey Jr. and Paul Cundey III.
In addition, the family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to Barbara Smith and Faith Beasley of Maid Your Day and their loving caregivers Daphne Ricks, Margaret Holmes, Susie Barnes, Valencia Davis, Brenda Lee and Cynthia Tolbert.
