Mrs. Sybil Jean Bozeman, age 84 of Conroe, passed away peacefully Tuesday, July 10, 2012. Mrs. Bozeman was born May 15, 1928 in Ratcliff, Texas to Louis and Gladys Veal. God blessed the world with a very special lady. She loved everyone she met, gave everyone a smile, and was always ready to help. She raised children, two of which passed away before her. She often said that a parent wasn't supposed to outlive her children. Every night after reading her Bible, she would pray for each of her children and all of her friends or family that she knew who were suffering. She was strong in her walk with God, and consulted with Him before and during every struggle. She offered guidance through this life to any of the children or grandchildren that asked for help, but she wouldn't try to push her beliefs on them. She knew they had to live their lives and make choices, good or bad. Mrs. Bozeman loved her friends and had many. She liked to visit the Friendship Center and play dominos or cards and had been known to enjoy a trip to the casino now and then. She liked to go fishing and would sit for hours to catch a catfish. She broke her hip on February 10th and from the beginning her only goal was to get back home to her dog Buffy and to her friends at the "Center." During her healing and rehab, it seemed there were just too many attacks on her 84 year old body for her to overcome and she received her reward on July 10th. "I Love You a Bushel and a Peck and a Hug Around the Neck" Survivors include her loving family, brother Larry Veal and wife Judy, of Jasper; daughter Linda McCollum and husband Alan, of Conroe; son Jerry Cole and wife Dianne, of Ratcliff; grandsons Keith Cole, Ronnie Cole and Kenny Cole; granddaughters Sarah McCollum, Amy McCollum, Kristina McCollum, Kimberly Burrran, Stacy Bates and Deidra Franks; 20 great-grandchildren; and five great-great grandchildren; numerous dear relatives and friends also survive. Preceded in death by her sister Delores Bates; daughter Donna Kennemer; and grandson Michael Franks. Funeral Services for Mrs. Sybil Jean Bozeman will be held Monday, July 16, 2012 at 12:00 p.m. in The Chapel at Conroe Funeral Directors with the the Rev. Paul Curtis officiating. Interment will follow in Parker Cemetery in Grapeland at 3:30 p.m. Condolences for Mrs. Bozeman may be left at online obituaries www.conroefuneraldirectors.org. Conroe Funeral Directors
