Mrs. C. Chaudoin Laid to Rest in Oak Hill on Tuesday
Mrs. Clifford Chaudoin, 27, passed away Sunday [April 28, 1935] at the Coleman hospital, following an illness of several weeks.
Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at two o'clock at the Christian church with Rev. Arthur G. Bailey, officiating. Burial was in Oak Hill cemetery.
Anna Lusilele [Lucille] Vaux Chaudoin was born at Artesian, S.Dak., August 2, 1907, passed away at the Coleman hospital April 28, 1935, at the age of 27 years, eight months, 26 days, was baptized in the Catholic church at the age of two months and was a member of that church for twenty years. She was married to Clifford Chaudoin August 13, 1927, and to this union four children were born, two boys and two girls, Darlene age 6 years, Clifford Latis age 4, Beverly Lucille age 7 month, Verland Duaine passed away at the age of 18 months. Mrs. Chaudoin was a dear loving woman, always ready to lend a helping hand to the needy, and was a dear neighbor and friend to all who knew her. She will be greatly missed in the home.
She leaves to mourn her loss her husband and three children, her father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. Vaux, five brothers, Marvin of Lohrville, Lambert, Bernard, Joseph and Earl of Lake City, and her grandfather, John B. Clark, of Lake City, and a host of friends.
She has bid us all adieu
She has gone to live in Heaven,
And her form is lost from view,
Oh, that dear one who we loved her,
Oh, how hard to give her up,
But an angel came down for her,
And removed her from our flock.

Mrs. Clifford Chaudoin Survived by Three Small Children – Funeral Today
Mrs. Clifford Chaudoin, 29 , passed away Sunday afternoon at a local hospital following an illness of several months. During her illness she went through a number of operations.
Funeral services were held this afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Christian church with the Rev. A. Bailey officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill cemetery.
Mrs. Chaudoin and family have been living at the Hull home at 121 North Fifth street. She is preceded in death by an 18 months old son who died a short time ago. She is survived by her husband, one daughter, 6 years old, and another 7 months old and one son 4 years old. (Vindicator and Republican, Estherville, IA, April 30, 1935)
