She was born on Jan. 28, 1934, in Wood County, a daughter of the late Arthur L. and Nellie E. Frazier Vaughn.
Betty was of the Methodist Faith and had worked in the office at the G.C. Murphy Company for 31 years.
Surviving is one brother, Jack (Beverly) Vaughn of Parkersburg; and five sisters, Garnet Arbogast, Wilma (Harreld) Jeffrey, and Helen Blosser, all of Parkersburg, Jean (Robert) Murphy in Florida, and Lynn (Gerald) Sims in Wyoming. Also surviving are several nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Edwin Brown on Nov. 5, 2014; and two brothers, Jake Vaughn and Lee Vaughn.
The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. today at Kimes Funeral Home, 521 5th Street Parkersburg, with Mr. David Lake speaking. Entombment will be at Sunset Memory Gardens. The visitation will be from 12 Noon-2 p.m. today at the funeral home.
