Alice M. Knoy Linder, 82, Brookston, formerly of Lafayette, died at 9:21 a.m. Thursday, May 24, 2007, in St. Elizabeth Healthcare Center, Delphi. She had been in failing health for the last six months.
She was born July 13, 1924, to the late Joseph R. and Hattie (Chamberlain) Vanderkolk. She married Coy R. Knoy June 26, 1943. He died in April 1953. She then married Vincent Linder in June 1956. He died in October 2001.
Surviving are sons, Ron (Alice) Knoy, West Lafayette, and Denny (Pam) Linder, Brookston; daughter, Susan Brown, Brookston; brother, Tom (Louise) Vanderkolk, Brookston; sister, Margaret McDowell, Lafayette; daughter-in-law, Louise Knoy; 12 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, Larry Knoy; brother, Charles Vanderkolk; and sister, JoAnn Orr Alkire.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Monday at Hartzler-Clapper Funeral Home, Brookston. Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in St. Ann Catholic Church, Lafayette, with Fr. Dominic Young officiating. Interment will follow in St. Boniface Catholic Cemetery.
