Bach, Mary Magdalene Murray

BACH, Mary Magdalene Murray 75, went to be with her Lord and Savior in the comfort of her home, surrounded by family on Thursday, January 21, 2010. She was born on June 17, 1934, in Win, Kentucky, to her loving parents, Asa Clarence and Cynthia (Howard) Vanhoose. She moved to South Vienna, Ohio when she was seventeen and attended and graduated from Northeastern High School in 1953. Magdalene worked at the William Bailey Company for several years. She married Donald Murray, the father of her children, who preceded her in death. For many years, Magdalene was the regional distributor for Koscot and NuYu Cosmetics where she met many people and made many friends. She also worked in her family's business, Vanhoose Poultry Farm. Magdalene was a faithful Christian who was baptized in 2008 and attended Hickory Grove United Baptist Church in Mechanicsburg, Ohio and Covenant Presbyterian Church in Springfield, Ohio. Later in life, she became a realtor, working under Link-Hellmuth Realty. She had a passion for collecting sea shells, greatly enjoyed ball room dancing, and adored her grandchildren. Magdalene was a beautiful loving person, who always gave of herself to friends and family. Magdalene will be greatly missed by all whose lives she touched. She is preceded in death by her parents; sister, Phyllis Rae Thompson; and baby brother, Proctor. Magdalene is survived by her loving husband of 6 years, Robert Bach; brother; David (Charlotte) Vanhoose of Georgetown, S. Carolina; daughter and son-in-law, Vivalyn and Bruce Knight of Springfield; sons and daughters-in-law, Darwin and Maureen Murray and Clinton and Shelly Murray of South Vienna and Derrick Murray and fiancée Yvonne Fouts of Philadelphia, Tennessee; 7 grandsons, Seth and Zachary Murray, Dalton and Landon Murray, Corey and Jacob Murray, and Micah Bach; granddaughters, Aubrey Murray and Abbey Knight and fiancé Gary Kopp; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Visitation will be held on Monday, January 25, 2010 from 5-8 PM at JACKSON LYTLE WILLIAMS FUNERAL HOME-Springfield with a celebration of Magdalene's life on Tuesday, January 26, 2010 at 11 AM at Hickory Grove United Baptist Church, Mechanicsburg, Ohio. Brother Patrick Gilliland officiating. Interment to follow at Asbury cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Community Mercy Hospice, 1343 North Fountain Blvd., Springfield, OH 45504 or Christ Episcopal Food Pantry, 409 East High St. , Springfield, OH 45505.
