CORNELIUS L. VAN SICKLE
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Friday in the Turner Chapel, Cedar Rapids, for Cornelius Lester Van Sickle, former Cedar Rapids Cities Service Sales Manager. Mt. Hermon Masonic order had charge of the services in the chapel and at the grave in Oak Hill cemetery in the Lester Van Sickle family lot. Survivors are his wife, Ruth, a sister, Mrs. H. Focht, Cedar Rapids; two brothers, J. G. Van Sickle and Dolph Van Sickle of Springville; one nephew, Merle Van Sickle and a number of nieces.
Relatives and friends who attended the funeral from here were: Mr. and Mrs. J. G. Van Sickle and their daughter, Mrs. David Welch of Chicago; Mr. and Mrs. Dolph Van Sickle and daughter, Mrs. James Dunn, Mr. and Mrs. Harry freeman, Mr. and Mrs. P. E. Ballou, Mr. and Mrs. H. C. Carbee, Mrs. R. F. Wiley, Mrs. C. C. Wells, Mrs. L. J. Miller and Mrs. Rhetta Jenson.
Hosts of friends and business associates from St. Paul, where Mr. Van Sickle had resided for the past 11 years, and Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Dytrt, nephew and niece of Mr. Van Sickle from Minneapolis, attended the funeral. The floral tributes were numerous, showing the esteem the deceased was held in among his friends.
