EDGEWATER - Margie Atkinson, 64, of Kumquat Drive, a resident since 1967, died Thursday at home.
Mrs. Atkinson, a homemaker, moved to this area from her native Haines City. She was a member of the New Smyrna Beach High School Booster Club. She was a volunteer at local schools, a team mother for sports teams and enjoyed the beach, boats and the water.
Survivors include a son, Mark, New Smyrna Beach; and a daughter, Charlene Atkinson, Edgewater. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 1620 S. Clyde Morris Blvd., Suite 300, Daytona Beach, FL 32119. Settle-Wilder, New Smyrna Beach, is in charge.
