BLANCH, N.C. - Edith Van Allen Dailey, 92, of 3254 Blanch Road, died Saturday, April 22, 2006 in Danville Regional Medical Center, following a period of declining health.
She was born January 31, 1914, in Michigan, to Carl and Ida Van Allen. She was a member of Purley United Methodist Church and Caswell County Extension Homemakers Club.
Graveside services will be Monday, April 24 at Danville Memorial Gardens, conducted by the Rev. Janet Balasko, pastor of Purley United Methodist Church.
Surviving are two sons, Graham Dailey and his wife, June, and Richard Dailey and his wife, Billie, all of Blanch; one daughter, Lee Jean and her husband, Don of Leesburg, Fla.; 10 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and five great-great-grandchildren. Also surviving are one sister, Lois Sigsbey of Danville and two brothers, Walter Van Allen, New Baltimore, Mich. and Bob Van Allen, Dry Fork, Va.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Irvin Dailey Sr.
The family will receive friends Sunday from 7 to 8 p.m. at Harrelson Funeral Home and at other times will be at the home of Graham and June Dailey, 3122 Blanch Road.
Harrelson Funeral Home is assisting the Dailey family with arrangements.
