An active and devoted parishioner of The Church of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary she taught in the religious education program and served in the former Mothers Club. She will especially be remembered for the many years that she and her husband Alfred planted and cared for the beautiful flowers gardens surrounding the parish property.

(Ret) Ronald Tenaglia of Fairborn, Ohio; granddaughter, Celeste Carroll and her husband Aaron Carroll of Venice, Fla.; great-grandsons, Zachary and Noah Carroll; also grandson, LT. Col. John Tenaglia and his wife Holly; great-grandsons, Dustin, Lloyd and Samuel Tenaglia all of Chantilly, Va. and grandson, Christopher Tenaglia and his wife Sarah of Sarasota, Fla. Survivors also include two sisters-in-law, Margaret Valley and Sister Rita Vallee, RHSJ both of Winooski.

She was predeceased by her son, David Valley in 2002, as well as a sister, Renee Roberts, and brothers, Paul, John and David Ashley.

The Liturgy of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday, Aug. 17, 2005, at 12 noon from The Church of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary, 65 Canada St., Swanton. Father John J. Meagher, SSE will be the celebrant and homilist. Interment will follow in the Valley family lot in St. Mary's Roman Catholic Cemetery.
