Amarante was survived by his children: Irma Montoya (husband David) of Santa Fe, Frank Valerio (wife Beatrice), Tito Valerio, Billy Valerio and Joseph Valerio (wife Lindy), all of Ranchos de Taos; ten grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.
A Rosary was today at San Francisco de Asis Catholic Church. Funeral Mass was on Friday at the same church. Burial followed in the new Llano Quemado Cemetery.
