Frank Velchek, 69, of 3803? Custer St., Manitowoc, died early Monday morning
at Holy Family Hospital, Manitowoc, of a lingering illness.
Funeral services will be at 8:30 a.m. Wednesday at Pfeffer Funeral Home,
Manitowoc, and at 9 a.m. at St. Paul Catholic Church, the Rev. Richard Hyman
officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.
Mr. Velchek was born Feb. 16, 1889, in the Town of Kossuth, son of the late
Martin and Antonia Taycher Velchek. He was a resident of Manitowoc all his
life and worked as a carpenter until his retirement in 1935?. He was a veteran
of World War I, serving in France and England and a member of the Manitowoc
Otto Oas Post of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. He never married.
Surviving are a brother, Anton, living in Michigan, a sister, Mrs. Peter Rosik,
of Mishicot and several nieces and nephews.
