WILLIAM B. VANDEGRIFT

William B. Vande Grift, 91, of 523 N. Ninth St., Manitowoc, died Friday afternoon
at Memorial Hospital, Manitowoc.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday at Urbanek and Schlei Funeral
Home, Manitowoc. The Rev. Edgar A. Schultz will officiate and burial will be in
Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mr. Vande Grift was born Dec. 22, 1880, at Bucyrus, Ohio, son of the late William
and Mary Bailey Vande Grift. He married Louise M. Rayfield, April 14, 1906, at
Manitowoc. His wife preceded him in death in 1962. He was employed at Mirro Aluminum
Co., Manitowoc Shipbuilding, Inc., and Memorial Hospital. He was a member of the
Masonic Lodge.
Survivors include a son, Charles, of Holt, Mich.; two daughters, Mrs. Glenn Gates,
of Lansing, Mich., and Mrs. Ray C. Hill, of Sylvania, Ga.; eight grandchildren; 11
great grandchildren and a great great grandchild.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 6 to 9 p.m. Sunday until the time of
service on Monday.
