LOUISE M. VANDEGRIFT
Mrs. William Vande Grift, 79, of Manitowoc, died early Thursday morning at
Manitowoc County Hospital following a heart attack.
Funeral services are tentatively set for 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Urbanek and
Schlei Funeral Home, Manitowoc, with the Rev. Gervase Zanotti officiating.
Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.
She was born March 20, 1883, at Manitowoc, daughter of the late Charles and
Charlotte Wilharms Rayfield. She was married April 14, 1906, to William B.
Vande Grift at Manitowoc and the family lived for a time in Indiana. The
family returned to Manitowoc later.
Among survivors are her husband; a son, Charles of Holt, Mich.; two daughters,
Mrs. Glenn Gates of Lansing, Mich., and Mrs. Ray C. Hill of Marinette; two
brothers, William of Monrovia, Calif., and Herbert of Manitowoc; eight grand-
children and eight great grandchildren.
Friends may call after 3 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
