MRS. VALENTA, CO. PIONEER, DIES, AGED 64
Death brought a release from suffering to Mrs. Josephine Valenta,
wife of Lawrence Valenta at the family home North Eighteenth street,
Sunday morning at 12:10. The funeral will be held Tuesday afternoon
at 1:30 o'clock from the home of her daughter, Mrs. Anton Kliment,
1620 New York avenue, the Rev. Tepley of Melnik officiating. Burial
will be at Evergreen.
Mrs. Valenta, nee Kirch, was born in Bohemia June 15, 1860 and came
to this country with her parent sat (sic) the age of fifteen. The
family settled near Bolt and in 1881 she was married to Lawrence
Valenta who with seven children, John, Joseph, Anton and Mrs. John
Foreman of Gibson, Mrs. Joseph Wacek of Bolt, Mrs. Anton Kliment and
Frank Valenta of this city, survive her. The family made its home on
a farm in the town of Franklin until four years ago when they moved
to the city to take up their home. A kind and loving mother Mrs.
Valenta was a home woman who made many friends to whom her passing
will bring sorrow.
