Daisy M. Utterback, 88, of Oskaloosa and formerly of Sigourney, died this morning, June 7, 1991 at Mahaska Manor in Oskaloosa.

She was born on January 30, 1903 in Lancaster to Roy and Myrtle Pennington Utterback. She lived in Texas where she sold Peggy Newton products. She then moved back to Sigourney to care for her parents until their deaths.

She worked at Graham's department store in Sigourney. She was a member of the Sigourney Christian church and taught adult Sunday school class there for many years. She was active in the American Red Cross, assisting at the veterans hospital in Knoxville.

She is survived by a sister, Margaret Strong Hollomon of Silsbee, Texas, as well as nieces and nephews. She was proceeded in death by her parents, a brother, Roscoe Utterback, and the sister Freda Barnhart.

Funeral services will be held Sunday at 2 PM at the Sigourney Christian church, with the Rev. Frances Baumert officiating. Burial will be at the Pennington cemetery. Visitation will be held at Reynolds funeral home in Sigourney starting at 1 PM on Saturday
