Mrs. Check was born September 7, 1912, in Warren, the daughter of the late Lewis and Lena Amacher Urbanski. She was a 1930 graduate of Warren High School and was a member of the First Lutheran Church. Mrs. Check retired from Pennsylvania Gas Company in 1974, now National Fuel Gas.
She is survived by, a daughter, Rachel Check, Pittsburgh; two sons, Richard Check and his wife Cindy, Warren, and Martin Check and his wife Susan, Virginia Beach, Vitginia; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; a cousin, Mary Urbanski and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband J. Richard Check, whom she married on April 15, 1941; two brothers, Robert Urbanski and James Urbanski, and a sister, Elizabeth "Betty" McGowan.
No visitation will be observed.
Services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
Burial will be in the Oakland Cemetery.
