Rose Marie Urban, of Dillon Street, Miners Mills section of Wilkes-Barre, died Tuesday at the Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center, Plains Township.

Born in Wilkes-Barre, she was the daughter of the late George and Julia Ruda Yanchus.

She was educated in Wilkes-Barre area schools and graduated from James M. Coughlin High School in 1966.

She was employed as a secretary by Transcontinental Refrigerated Lines Trucking Co., Pittston.

She was a member of Saints Peter and Paul Roman Catholic Church, Hudson Road, Plains Township, where she volunteered on the renovation campaign.

She and her husband, Ronald E. Urban, celebrated their 18th wedding anniversary on Aug. 5, 1996.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Mrs. Dorothy Donzalski, in 1989.

Surviving in addition to her husband, are sons, Ronald J. and Robert A., both at home; a brother, Ray Yanchus, Maine.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday from the John V. Morris Funeral Home, 625 N. Main St., Wilkes-Barre, followed by a funeral Mass at 11 a.m. in Saints Peter and Paul Roman Catholic Church, Plains Township.

Interment will be in Fern Knoll Burial Park, Dallas.

Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Renovation Campaign Project of Saints Peter and Paul Roman Catholic Church, 13 Hudson Road, Plains Township, 18705.
