L. Joan Davis Green, 69, 3115 S. Hackley St., died Saturday in Heritage Care Center after a long illness.
Mrs. Green, who was born in Bluffton, moved to Muncie in 1944. She had worked at Mary Jane Beauty Shop and later owned Jones and Green Upholstering. She graduated from Columbian Elementary School and P.A. Allen High School, both of Bluffton, and Ambers Beauty School.
Survivors include a daughter, Pamela Dean Johnson, Muncie; a sister, Mary K. Ettel, Muncie; a brother, Charles Unger, Muncie; seven stepchildren, Steven, Randy, Jeffrey and Timothy Green, Wayne and Dick Davis and Pat Akins, all of Muncie; three grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren.
Her first husband, Joseph Davis, is deceased. Her second husband, Robert Green, is also deceased. Her parents, Charles and Mildred Somers Unger; a stepdaughter, Joan Herron, and a stepson, Joseph Davis Jr., are also deceased.
Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday in Meeks Mortuary. Burial will be in Gardens of Memory, north of Muncie. Calling will be 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Monday and before services Tuesday at the mortuary.
