Mrs. Talma Ruth Glover, of Florence, passed away Sunday, Feb. 12, 2012, after an extended illness. She was 84.
Mrs. Glover was a devoted wife and mother and was loved by all who knew her. She was a member of Cross-Point Church of Christ and had retired as a secretary for Ryder Freight Lines.
Mrs. Glover is survived by her husband of 57 years, Paul Glover; sons, Joel Glover and wife, Carolyn, of Florence, and Zach Glover and wife, Sheila, of Muscle Shoals; granddaughter, Audra Glover Wallace and husband, Josh, of Florence; three stepgrandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Emory Leo and Ruby Bratcher Underwood; a stepmother, Olie Underwood; and her maternal grandmother, Ida Bratcher, who raised Ruth after the death of her mother at an early age.
Pallbearers will be Ronnie Bratcher, Roger Brannon, Shane Hanback, Casey Glover, John Glover and Mark Glover.
Honorary pallbearers will be Jack Broadfoot, Bobby Yarbrough, Mark Blackburn and Rodney Hubbard.
