Grover D. Underwood
OGDEN - Grover D. Underwood, 84, died Tuesday, May 25, 2004.
He was born March 4, 1920 in
Conyers, Georgia, a son of Dallas Albert and Louise Clara Edwards Underwood.
On December 28, 1945, Grover married Julia LaVon Haven in
Brigham City. Their marriage was
Salt
later solemnized in the Lake LDS Temple.
He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Grover served his country during World War ll with the U.S. Marine Corps.
He retired from Hill Air Force Base as an air conditioning and refrigeration specialist.
Grover loved to garden and take care of his farm. He also loved to fish.
Surviving are his wife of Ogden; one son and one daughter, Rick (Judy) Underwood, Slaterville; Clare Bedeger, Brigham City; five grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
Also surviving is one sister, RosaLee Crosby, Valdosta, GA.
He was preceded in death by his parents, son Fred, brother Ottis, and grandson Travis Bedeger.
Funeral services will be held at the graveside on Friday at 11 a. m. at Lindquist's Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd., where Military Honors will be accorded.
Friends may call at Lindquist's Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd., on Friday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m.
