B. Eileen (Unbehaun) Klousia, age 90, of Richland Center, passed away peacefully at Our House Senior Living in the care of her husband and two sons by her side on Saturday, Feb. 11, 2012, after a six year battle with cancer.

She was born on Oct. 15, 1921, the daughter of Edgar and Eva Lou (Perkins) Unbehaun. She grew up in Richland County the first eight years in Richland Center. Her parents then bought a farm in Buena Vista, where she lived until she married. Eileen attended Elm Grove School, Lone Rock High School, and Richland County Teachers College. She taught at the Yuba School and loved the students there. She married her sweetheart, Kenneth Klousia on April 5, 1942, and they lived in Richland Center. While Ken worked as office manager for Carnation Company, they had two sons, Ron and Roger. Eileen worked for Keegans Drug Store and Kroger's Grocery Store. They were active in the Peace United Methodist Church, they sang in the choir, Eileen taught the beginner Sunday School class, and she belonged to the Builders Class from the time it was formed. She was also a Cub Scout Den mother and later in life was an Auxiliary Member at the Hospital. Eileen enjoyed golfing, deer hunting, and fishing. She did crafts, and painted many pictures, which she was very proud of. In 1959 Carnation Company transferred Ken to their world headquarters in Los Angeles, Calif. Eileen worked as the main receptionist at Carnation Company as well. After six years they moved back to Wisconsin.

Ken and Eileen bought some land in 1966, along the Mississippi River near Genoa, and started their own business known as the Pine Crest Resort. After two years of getting the business up and running Ken took a job in La Crosse working for Heileman Brewery as the hospitality host and Eileen ran the resort during the week. Seventeen years later they sold the resort, retired and moved back to Richland Center, spending winters in Florida, and the summers in Wisconsin. They enjoyed camping with the Richland Ramblers Club and taking motor home tours with their Winnebago. She enjoyed many trips to the Western United States, Alaska, and Hawaii. She was so proud of their two sons, their wives, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She loved Jesus for he had been there for her through many trials and blessings.

Eileen is survived by her husband, Ken; two sons, of DeForest, and Viroqua; grandchildren, of Sun Prairie, of Lake Mills, their three children, of Asbury, Iowa, their son, of Viroqua; brother, of Richland Center, other relatives, and friends.

Eileen was preceded in death by her parents, Edgar and Eva Lou Unbehaun; and her sister, Donna Arnett.

A special thank you to Our House Senior Living and their exceptional staff, to the staff of Upland Hills Hospice Care and Pastor Bill Busch of Peace and Trinity United Methodist Church. Their care and concern is greatly appreciated by Ken and his family.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, Feb. 16, 2012, at 11 a.m. at the PRATT MEMORIAL CHAPEL. Burial will follow in the Richland Center Cemetery.
