Jean (Uhl) Abair, age 72 of Sylvania, passed away Thursday, February 12, 1998 at Flower Hospital. She was born May 26, 1925 to John and Helen Uhl. She married Leo "Bud" Abair June 7, 1947 and they celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary last June. After raising four daughters, she went to work at the University of Toledo Bookstore and the American Cancer Society for several years. After Leo and she retired, they traveled extensively around the United States. Jean was also an active member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Sylvania for 45 years, and worked with the Ladies Auxiliary of the Church.

She is lovingly survived by her husband, Leo "Bud" Abair and four daughters, Jan (Ken) Folger, Iowa, Joyce Perry, Maumee, Lois (Cal) Hinkleman, Sylvania and Pat (Ralph) Spitulski, Toledo; four grandchildren, Becky and Tom Perry, Jake and Angie Folger; and one great-grandchild, Michael Heckman.

She will be greatly missed.

Friends may call at the Reeb Funeral Home, 5712 N. Mmain Street, Sylvania, Ohio on Saturday from 7-9 p.m. and continuing Sunday from 2-8 p.m. where Scripture services will be held at 7:30 p.m. Sunday evening at the funeral home. The funeral Mass will be conducted at the St. Joseph Catholic Church, Sylvania on Monday at 11 a.m. Interment Resurrection Cemetery.

Those wishing to give memorials are asked to consider the American Cancer Society of the charity of the donor's choice.
