John William Uhl, age 64, of Hamilton, passed away at his residence on Monday, May 25, 2009. He was born in Los Angeles, California, on May 31, 1944, the son of the late Judd and Mary Jo (Schwalm) Uhl. He graduated from St. Xavier High School and continued his education at Holy Cross in Worchester, Massachusetts and the University of Michigan Law School, where he received his Juris Doctorate. In Hamilton, Ohio, in 1969, John married Marcy (nee Richards) Uhl. He had his own Law Practice in Hamilton and he was a member of St. Peter in Chains. John is survived by his wife of over 39 years, Marcy; sons, Judd (Leslee) Uhl of Mt. Lookout and John Max Uhl of Hyde Park; daughter, Anne (William) Terlesky of Hyde Park; brother, Jay (Sandy) Uhl of Montgomery; and sisters, Mary Ann (Paul) Cangemi of Oxford, Jane (Dale) Cochran of Hamilton and Martha Uhl of Blue Ash. A gathering of family and friends to celebrate John's life will be held on Sunday, May 31, 2009, from 3-5pm at Pyramid Hill Sculpture Park, 1763 Pyramid Hill Boulevard, Hamilton. The family suggests memorial contributions to the Haven House Emergency Shelter, 550 High Street, Hamilton, OH 45011 or the Hamilton Dream Center, 725 Campbell Avenue, Hamilton, OH 45011.
