Rosa Lee Tyler Brown was born January 23, 1928 and was the daughter of the late Walter Tyler and Irene Watkins Tyler of Wake County, N.C. She went home to be with the Lord, Friday, Nov. 11, 2011.
Rosa was united in Holy Matrimony to the late Wilbert Cephus Brown on Jan. 25, 1960 and to this union one child was born.
She was preceded in death by her husband, a son, her parents, three brothers and a sister.
She leaves to treasure her memory: a very loving and devoted daughter, Carolyn Jean Brown of Richmond; Jerome Small; two grandchildren, Arnette Montague of Raleigh, N.C. and Carl Douglas Montague of Providence, R.I.; two great grandchildren of Raleigh, N.C.; two sisters, Irene Perry of Knightdale, N.C. and Beulah Mae Tisdale of South Hill; a brother, Joseph Tyler of Raleigh, N.C.; five sisters-in-law; a brother-in-law; a goddaughter, Latisha Dunn of Knightdale, N.C.; a host of nieces and nephews, among them devoted, Whitney Watkins and his wife, Nancy of South Hill; other relatives and friends to include her special companion, her dog eddy.
Funeral Services will be held at 1 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 16, at the Chapel of the Oris P. Jones Funeral Establishment, 301 West Atlantic Street, South Hill, with Rev. James Moore, officiating. Interment will follow at Crestview Memorial Park. The viewing was from noon until 5 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 15, and two hours prior to the service at the funeral home.
Services for Mrs. Brown are entrusted to the staff of the Oris P. Jones Funeral Establishment, South Hill.
