He was born September 11, 1924, in Sturgeon Bay to Clarence Tweedale and Selma (Miller) Tweedale.
Pete graduated from Sturgeon Bay High School in 1942.
He then began his service to his country in the US Army from 1943 to 1946. He was stationed in France and served in the Eastern European Theatre during WW II as an Anti-Aircraft Artillery Crewman.
On November 5, 1946 he married Imogene DeWitt in Sturgeon Bay. They recently celebrated 66 years together.
Pete attended the Badger Business College and obtained a degree in accounting.
He was an Accountant with Morley-Murphy Company until his retirement in 1988.
Pete enjoyed his retirement by traveling with Imogene and his family to every state except Hawaii.
He loved to fish, play cards and spend time at their cottage in Door County.
Pete enjoyed being outdoors and gardening. He was a member of the American Legion Sullivan- Wallen Post#11 and a member of St. Mark Lutheran Church.
Pete was survived by his wife, Imogene Tweedale; six children and their spouses, 14 grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; one sister, a brother-in-law, nieces, nephews, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Debra Pollatz; a sister, Marcella Meier; a brother-in-law, Orville Schopf.
