Lula Maud Fister was the daughter of Henry W. and Martha Isabelle (Highley) Tuttle. She was born May 24, 1882 in Archie, Missouri.
She was married January 15, 1908 in Adrian, Missouri to Lynn Warrick Fister, who died May 19, 1948 in Seattle, Washington. He was the son of Henry and Calla (Warrick) Fister. Mr. Fister had enlisted January 4, 1905 in Kansas City, Missouri; served as a Private in Company D", 22nd Regiment Infantry; and was discharged January 3, 1908 at Camp McCloud, California. He served as a Captain in the Infantry from November 27, 1917 to October 9, 1919
At the age of 72 she was granted admission to the Washington Veterans' Home in Retsil, Washington on behalf of her husband's service. Her usual residence was 5932 Broadview in Tacoma. The Veterans' Home applauded Mrs. Fister's upholstery work at the Home in October 1955 and her anonymous contribution of a spinet piano.
She passed away at the Home Hospital at 2:30 a.m. on July 10, 1960 at the age of 78 years and is buried in the Veterans' Home Cemetery. She was survived by a niece, Vona P. Smith.
