During her life in Burns, Bosch was employed by Marge Kinder at the Pine Room, Hines Lumber Company in the commissary, Bell Telephone Co. and Burns Chamber of Commerce, where she earned "Woman of the Year" honors. She enlisted in the Business and Professional Woman Association, and rose high in the state ranks. Bosch then took a job with the State of Oregon, where she remained until retirement in 1992.

She volunteered during the Harney County Fair, during Elks Club activities, was a Cub Scout den mother, helped with 4-H projects and campaigned for democratic candidates.
